Product overview and buyer fit

Hanwha HCO-6080 is designed for buyers who need a professional outdoor bullet camera while continuing to use compatible analog HD or legacy coaxial CCTV infrastructure. The camera is not an IP network camera: it sends video through a BNC coax connection and is intended to be paired with a recorder that can accept the selected analog video format. That distinction matters when planning a replacement project. A site can often reuse existing coax where cable condition and recorder support are suitable, but the recorder input format, cable quality, power arrangement and distance should be checked before purchase.

The model delivers Full HD 1920 × 1080 video from a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor. Its 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens provides a useful range for adjusting scene width after mounting. At the wide end the camera can cover entrances, yards, loading areas and wider perimeter scenes; at the tele end it can tighten the view on gates, doors, corridors or other defined targets. The motorized lens reduces the need for repeated manual lens adjustment at the camera, although final framing still needs to be validated at the actual installation position.

This page is specifically for the HCO-6080, not the HCO-6080R. The two models are related but not identical. The HCO-6080R adds integrated infrared illumination, while the HCO-6080 is the non-IR version. Buyers who need zero-lux night coverage should therefore confirm whether the IR-equipped HCO-6080R or another current Hanwha model is more appropriate. FourTeck can help compare the required model, recorder, cable run, power source and scene lighting before an order is finalised.

Full HD over coax

The 2MP sensor outputs 1920 × 1080 video, helping coax-based systems move beyond standard-definition analogue while retaining a familiar wired architecture.

Motorized varifocal coverage

A 3.2–10 mm motorized lens gives installers flexibility to tune the field of view for entrances, outdoor approaches, façades, service areas and perimeter points.

120 dB WDR

Wide dynamic range helps manage bright and dark areas in the same scene, such as entrances facing daylight, shaded loading bays or backlit gates.

Outdoor construction

Compatibility, configuration and deployment guidance

The first compatibility question is the recorder. HCO-6080 can output AHD, TVI, CVI or CVBS through BNC, but the DVR must accept the chosen format and resolution on the intended channel. Do not assume that every older DVR can record 1080p simply because a BNC connector is present. Confirm the DVR model, input standard, supported resolution and any channel-specific limitations. If a site is using a hybrid recorder, also check whether all channels can run the intended format simultaneously.

Next, inspect the coaxial cabling. Hanwha specifies transmission up to 500 metres using 5C2V coax under suitable conditions, but practical results vary with cable construction, age, joints, connector quality, electrical interference and grounding. Long legacy runs should be tested rather than assumed good. A poor coax path can cause noise, dropouts or unstable video even when the camera and recorder are correctly matched.

Power is separate from video. The camera supports 12 VDC and 24 VAC. Choose the power approach according to existing infrastructure, run length and voltage-drop calculation. Outdoor junctions should be protected from water ingress, and connectors should remain accessible for maintenance without being exposed to tampering. The housing is weather resistant, but installation quality still determines whether the complete camera point remains dependable.

For night-time applications, note that HCO-6080 is not the IR version. It can switch to black-and-white mode and operate at low illumination, but it does not replace an integrated-IR camera when the scene becomes completely dark. If the location has little or no ambient lighting, compare HCO-6080R or a current Hanwha IR model instead. This distinction is especially important for perimeter fences, remote yards, unlit service lanes and closed warehouses after hours.

Ideal customers and use cases

Coax CCTV upgrades

Businesses that want Full HD imaging while retaining serviceable coax cable can consider HCO-6080 where recorder compatibility is confirmed.

Warehouses and loading areas

The motorized lens helps tune coverage for dock doors, dispatch areas, outdoor approaches and defined operational zones.

Retail and commercial premises

WDR and flexible framing can suit entrances, façades and areas where changing daylight creates strong contrast.

Industrial perimeter points

IP66 and IK10 construction can suit outdoor mounting where weather exposure and physical resilience are important.

What to confirm before ordering

  • Confirm that the exact requirement is HCO-6080, not HCO-6080R.
  • Share the DVR make and model so AHD/TVI/CVI/CVBS and 1080p compatibility can be checked.
  • Confirm whether the existing coax will be reused and its approximate longest run.
  • Decide whether 12 VDC or 24 VAC power is already available at the camera point.
  • Check whether the night scene has usable ambient light; HCO-6080 has no built-in IR illuminator.
  • Confirm mounting height, target width and required identification detail before setting the lens.
  • Check local project and regulatory requirements before final camera selection and installation.
  • Ask FourTeck to confirm current lifecycle, sourcing route, accessories and availability for the required quantity.

HCO-6080 compared with related Hanwha choices

The most important comparison is with the HCO-6080R. Both are 2MP analog HD bullet cameras with a 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens, selectable multi-format analog output, 120 dB WDR and outdoor protection. The “R” model adds integrated infrared illumination for scenes that need the camera to provide its own IR light. The HCO-6080 is therefore better understood as a low-light day/night camera for sites where ambient lighting or separate illumination is available.

HCO-6070R is another 2MP IR bullet alternative, but it uses a manual varifocal lens rather than the motorized varifocal arrangement of the HCO-6080/HCO-6080R family. HCO-6020R uses a fixed 4 mm lens and can be appropriate where the required field of view is already known and installation simplicity is more important than flexible focal adjustment. For new projects where higher resolution is required, Hanwha’s 4MP analog HD+ bullet models such as HCO-7070RA should also be considered rather than assuming 2MP is the best fit.

The correct choice should be driven by scene detail, night lighting, recorder capability, focal length, cable reuse, power and lifecycle considerations. FourTeck can help compare these factors rather than selecting a camera only by megapixel count.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Dubai

Dubai buyers searching for Hanwha HCO-6080 usually need more than a camera-only price. Commercial CCTV projects in the city commonly involve existing coaxial infrastructure, DVR compatibility, outdoor exposure, mixed lighting, access restrictions, working-hour constraints and a need to document the exact model selected for procurement. HCO-6080 can be useful when a business wants to improve an established analog system without immediately converting every camera point to IP. Its 1080p output, multi-format BNC interface and motorized 3.2–10 mm lens make it flexible for replacement and expansion work, but the recorder should be checked before purchase because legacy DVRs vary significantly in supported standards and resolution.

For Dubai warehouses, workshops, retail units and commercial compounds, the motorized varifocal lens can help installers tune views of gates, loading points, entrances, corridors and external service areas. The 120 dB WDR is especially relevant where a camera looks from shade toward a bright outdoor area or monitors a doorway with strong daylight behind people entering. IP66 and IK10 protection support exposed positions, although installers still need appropriate junction boxes, weather-protected terminations and secure mounting. Because Dubai sites can combine heat, dust and strong sunlight, camera placement should also avoid unnecessary direct glare and allow safe maintenance access.

Night coverage needs a specific check. HCO-6080 is not the IR-equipped HCO-6080R. It can switch to monochrome and operate in low light, but a completely dark perimeter, yard or service lane may require the IR model, a separate illuminator or a different current camera. That decision should be made after considering the actual lighting condition rather than assuming all Hanwha bullet cameras include IR.

For Dubai projects, contact FourTeck with the required quantity, DVR model, approximate cable distance, mounting environment and night-lighting condition. FourTeck can help determine whether HCO-6080 is still the right model, whether a related Hanwha analog camera is more suitable and what should be confirmed before procurement. For broader CCTV planning, see FourTeck CCTV installation guidance for Dubai and the UAE or use FourTeck sales assistance.

Hanwha HCO-6080 UAE

Across the UAE, HCO-6080 can be relevant to organisations that operate several sites with existing coax-based surveillance. A company may have branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman or other emirates where the installed cable plant is still serviceable but camera quality needs improvement. Because HCO-6080 supports selectable AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS output, it offers a broader compatibility path than a single-format analog camera. Even so, the DVR model and supported channel modes should be confirmed for every site, especially where different recorder generations are in use.

UAE procurement teams often need consistent specifications across multiple facilities. For that reason, it is useful to define the camera requirement by scene rather than only by model number. Record the required field of view, mounting height, day/night lighting, target distance, recorder type, power source and cable length. The 3.2–10 mm motorized lens can support several scene types, but it cannot compensate for a camera mounted too far from a target that requires fine identification detail. Likewise, 2MP may be sufficient for general monitoring but may not meet every evidence or recognition requirement.

Outdoor UAE installations should account for heat, dust, weather sealing and maintenance. HCO-6080 is rated IP66 and IK10, but the complete installed point includes connectors, power joints, junction hardware and cable entries that also need suitable protection. Power planning is important because the camera uses 12 VDC or 24 VAC rather than PoE. Long power runs should be checked for voltage drop, while coax runs should be assessed for cable condition and interference.

For multi-emirate buying, FourTeck can help review the recorder and camera schedule before the same model is repeated across sites. Start with FourTeck UAE technology resources, the CCTV and access-control planning page, or contact the sales team to verify the exact model, sourcing status and suitable alternatives. Availability, lead time and warranty route should be confirmed for the specific order rather than assumed from an older project specification.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Kenya

Kenya-based buyers may encounter HCO-6080 when replacing an existing outdoor analog camera, standardising a branch CCTV design or looking for a professional 1080p bullet camera that can operate over coax. The camera’s multi-format BNC output is useful because different DVR brands and generations may support AHD, TVI, CVI or conventional CVBS. Before ordering, a Kenyan installer or IT team should identify the recorder model and channel capabilities instead of assuming compatibility from connector type alone. Existing coax should also be tested, particularly on long outdoor runs where joints, water ingress or ageing cable can affect video quality.

The 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens gives useful flexibility for offices, shops, warehouses, schools, compounds and light-industrial facilities. A wide setting can cover a forecourt, doorway group or yard, while a tighter setting can focus on a gate, vehicle lane or specific entrance. The 120 dB WDR can help where bright daylight and deep shade appear together, a common challenge at building entrances and covered loading areas. IP66 and IK10 ratings are also valuable for exposed locations, but outdoor reliability still depends on proper weatherproof termination, secure mounting and surge-aware power design.

Power and night lighting deserve attention. HCO-6080 accepts 12 VDC or 24 VAC and is not PoE, so power distribution must be planned separately. The model is also the non-IR version. Where a perimeter or compound becomes fully dark, an installer should compare HCO-6080R or another IR-equipped camera rather than expecting HCO-6080 to illuminate the scene by itself.

For Kenyan procurement, request a configuration review with the recorder model, required quantity, site type, mounting location, approximate cable length and expected lighting. FourTeck’s Kenya technology site provides a regional contact route, while FourTeck Africa can support wider regional projects. Confirm current HCO-6080 availability and lifecycle at quotation time, because older specified analog models may need to be matched to a current equivalent.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Kuwait

In Kuwait, HCO-6080 is most relevant where a site already uses coaxial CCTV and needs an outdoor bullet camera with flexible lens adjustment. Commercial buildings, warehouses, workshops, retail sites and compounds may have established analog cabling that remains usable even when cameras or recorders are being refreshed. The HCO-6080’s selectable AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS output can help in these migration scenarios, but recorder support must be verified channel by channel. The DVR firmware, supported resolution and selected analog standard all influence whether the camera will deliver the expected 1080p image.

The camera’s 120 dB WDR can be helpful in Kuwait’s strong daylight, especially at shaded entrances, parking access points and loading bays where a bright exterior appears behind a darker foreground. Its 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens lets the installer adjust the scene after physical installation, reducing the risk of choosing a fixed focal length that is too wide or too narrow. For long perimeter lanes or detailed identification, however, the expected target size at the final camera distance should be calculated rather than relying on zoom alone.

HCO-6080 carries IP66 and IK10 ratings, yet harsh outdoor operation still requires careful installation. Cable glands, BNC connectors, power joints and mounting surfaces should be protected, and the installer should consider heat, dust, direct sun and maintenance access. The camera supports 12 VDC and 24 VAC, so the power system must be selected and voltage drop checked. It does not use PoE.

Kuwait buyers should also distinguish HCO-6080 from HCO-6080R. The HCO-6080 does not include the R model’s integrated IR illumination. Sites with low but usable ambient light may be suitable, while completely dark yards should be evaluated for an IR version or a newer alternative. Use FourTeck Kuwait to discuss quantity, recorder compatibility, cabling and current sourcing. A model check before purchase is preferable to substituting a visually similar Hanwha bullet camera without confirming technical differences.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Ghana

Ghana organisations that maintain existing coax CCTV can consider HCO-6080 when they need a 2MP outdoor bullet camera without redesigning the entire surveillance network around IP. This can be relevant to offices, shops, warehouses, educational sites, compounds and distributed branch locations where coax cabling is already in place. The camera can output AHD, TVI, CVI or CVBS through BNC, but it remains essential to identify the DVR make and model before purchase. A recorder that accepts one of these formats may still have resolution, frame-rate or channel-mode limitations.

The 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens helps installers adapt one camera model to several viewing tasks. Wider framing can cover a gate approach or open commercial area, while the tele end can narrow coverage on a doorway, cash-handling approach or vehicle lane. The 120 dB WDR is useful when strong daylight causes silhouettes at entrances or when a shaded foreground is combined with a bright exterior. For general monitoring, Full HD resolution can provide a significant improvement over older standard-definition analog cameras if the recorder and display path preserve the 1080p signal.

For Ghana installations, cable and power quality may be as important as the camera itself. Existing coax should be checked for joints, corrosion, water damage and poor connectors. HCO-6080 supports 12 VDC and 24 VAC, so installers need to choose a power design that avoids excessive voltage drop on longer runs. Outdoor terminations should be weather protected even though the camera housing itself is IP66. IK10 impact resistance helps in accessible locations but does not replace secure mounting.

Night operation should be planned from the actual scene. HCO-6080 is not equipped with integrated IR, so sites that become completely dark should compare an IR model. For quotation and model selection, use FourTeck Ghana or FourTeck Africa. Share the recorder model, camera count, site type, cable distance and night-lighting requirement so the exact HCO-6080 or a suitable current alternative can be assessed before procurement.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Uganda

Uganda buyers may specify HCO-6080 for existing analog CCTV estates where replacing serviceable coax with network cabling is not immediately necessary. The camera’s multi-standard analog output can be useful when different DVR platforms are encountered across branches or project phases. Still, a physical BNC connection does not guarantee 1080p compatibility. The exact recorder, supported input format and recording resolution should be checked before ordering, especially on older systems that were originally installed for standard-definition cameras.

For commercial compounds, retail premises, warehouses and office sites, the 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens can simplify field adjustment. Rather than selecting a fixed 2.8 mm, 4 mm or 6 mm lens in advance, the installer has room to tune the view after mounting. That flexibility is useful where the camera must balance overall scene context with a meaningful target size at a gate, doorway or loading point. The 120 dB WDR also improves usability in contrast-heavy scenes such as entrances facing bright daylight.

Ugandan sites should assess power stability and cable condition as part of the camera decision. HCO-6080 supports 12 VDC or 24 VAC, not PoE. Where cable runs are long, voltage drop needs to be considered. Existing coax should be tested for continuity, shielding quality and connector condition. Outdoor cabling and junctions should be protected against moisture, while the IP66 camera housing and IK10 resistance provide a solid base for properly installed exterior points.

The model should not be confused with HCO-6080R. The R version includes IR illumination; HCO-6080 does not. If the site loses most ambient light after closing hours, request an IR-capable option. Buyers can contact FourTeck Uganda for a regional enquiry or FourTeck Africa for multi-country requirements. Providing the current DVR model and a simple description of each camera scene makes it easier to confirm compatibility and avoid ordering an unsuitable analog variant.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Nigeria

Nigeria-based organisations often operate a mix of older analog and newer IP surveillance equipment across branches, warehouses, retail locations, offices and industrial facilities. HCO-6080 can fit a coax-based upgrade when the business wants Full HD video and a flexible motorized lens without rebuilding every camera point. The camera supports AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS output, which broadens potential DVR compatibility, but the existing recorder still needs to be checked for the selected standard and 1080p input capability. This is particularly important in mixed-brand systems.

The 3.2–10 mm motorized varifocal lens allows scene framing to be adjusted to suit a range of business locations. Wide coverage can suit forecourts, loading areas and compound entrances, while a tighter field of view can concentrate on a gate, doorway or specific operational point. A 120 dB WDR function helps in strong backlight, which can occur when cameras look from indoor or shaded areas toward bright daylight. The camera also uses SSNR IV noise reduction and true day/night switching to improve performance as lighting changes.

For reliable deployment, Nigeria projects should include a cable and power review. HCO-6080 is powered by 12 VDC or 24 VAC. A long run with undersized conductors can lead to voltage drop, while old coax with weak shielding or poor connectors can degrade the image. Outdoor connectors and junctions should be protected against moisture even though the camera body itself is IP66. The IK10 rating adds resistance to physical impact but the bracket and mounting surface still need secure fixing.

Buyers should also verify night-lighting conditions because HCO-6080 does not contain integrated IR. A completely dark perimeter may require HCO-6080R or another IR-equipped model. For product-selection and quote support, visit FourTeck Nigeria or FourTeck Africa. Share the recorder model, quantity, target scenes and installation environment, and request confirmation of current model availability rather than assuming a legacy specification can still be sourced unchanged.

Hanwha HCO-6080 Seychelles

For Seychelles projects, HCO-6080 can be considered where an organisation has serviceable coax-based CCTV and wants a robust Full HD outdoor bullet camera. Hotels, commercial properties, offices, warehouses and operational compounds may have cameras distributed across outdoor areas where changing the complete cable system is disruptive. The HCO-6080’s selectable analog HD formats can make migration easier, provided the existing DVR supports the chosen standard and resolution. Recorder compatibility should be documented before goods are shipped because correcting a mismatch after regional delivery can be costly.

The motorized 3.2–10 mm varifocal lens is useful for locations where the final mounting position may not be known precisely during early procurement. An installer can adjust the field of view to cover a broader entrance or narrow the image toward a gate, walkway or service point. The 120 dB WDR can help in entrances and exterior scenes with strong daylight contrast. IP66 and IK10 ratings support many exposed positions, but coastal and humid environments also make installation details especially important. Cable entries, junctions, mounting hardware and connectors should be chosen and maintained appropriately for the site conditions.

Power design is separate from video transmission because HCO-6080 uses 12 VDC or 24 VAC rather than PoE. If existing power cable is being reused, check conductor size, distance and voltage at the camera. Coax should be checked for moisture, corrosion, splices and connector condition. A specification that works on paper can still fail if old infrastructure has deteriorated.

Night-time lighting should also be reviewed before selecting this model. HCO-6080 is the non-IR version, so it needs ambient or external illumination for very dark scenes. If integrated IR is required, compare the HCO-6080R or a current Hanwha alternative. Seychelles enquiries can be directed through FourTeck Africa. Include required quantity, recorder information, island/project location, outdoor exposure, cable length and lighting conditions so the proposed camera can be checked as a complete system component rather than treated as an isolated item.

Why contact FourTeck for this camera

A CCTV camera is only useful when it fits the recorder, cabling, power, scene and operational requirement. FourTeck can help buyers review those dependencies before a quotation is finalised. For HCO-6080, this is particularly useful because it is an analog multi-format product and is easy to confuse with the IR-equipped HCO-6080R. Sharing the DVR model and site requirement allows the selection to be checked more carefully.

FourTeck can also discuss related CCTV project requirements such as recorder selection, camera placement, storage planning, cabling and deployment scope. Product availability, warranty route, delivery timing and exact commercial terms should be confirmed in the quotation for the requested quantity and destination rather than assumed from this page.

Hanwha HCO-6080 FAQ

1. Is the Hanwha HCO-6080 an IP camera?

No. HCO-6080 is an analog HD bullet camera with BNC video output. It can output AHD, TVI, CVI or CVBS and is intended for compatible DVR-based systems. It does not connect directly to an Ethernet network and does not use PoE. If the project is designed around an NVR and network cabling, a Hanwha IP camera should be selected instead.

2. What resolution does HCO-6080 provide?

The camera provides Full HD 1920 × 1080 video from a 2MP CMOS sensor. The recorder must support the selected analog HD format and 1080p input to preserve that resolution. A legacy DVR limited to standard-definition CVBS will not deliver the same image detail even if the camera can output multiple formats.

3. Does the HCO-6080 have infrared night vision?

No integrated IR illuminator is specified for HCO-6080. It has day/night operation and low-light sensitivity, but it should not be treated as the IR version. The related HCO-6080R includes IR illumination. For fully dark scenes, compare the R model or another IR-equipped camera rather than relying only on low-light sensitivity.

4. What lens does the Hanwha HCO-6080 use?

It uses a 3.2–10 mm, 3.1× motorized varifocal lens with an F1.6 maximum aperture. The wide end provides a broad field of view, while the tele end narrows the scene for more concentrated coverage. The motorized adjustment helps with commissioning, but the final lens setting should be based on the actual target size and installation distance.

5. Can I use HCO-6080 with an existing DVR?

Possibly, but the DVR model must be checked. HCO-6080 supports AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS, while DVRs vary in which standards and resolutions they accept. Confirm the exact channel input mode, supported 1080p format and any hybrid-channel restrictions. The presence of a BNC connector by itself is not enough to guarantee compatibility.

6. How far can the video signal travel over coax?

Hanwha specifies transmission up to 500 metres using suitable 5C2V coaxial cable conditions. Real installations depend on cable quality, age, shielding, joints, connectors, interference and the selected video standard. Existing long runs should be tested, especially when upgrading an older analog system where cable damage or poor terminations may already be present.

7. Is HCO-6080 suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The camera is specified with IP66 weather protection and IK10 impact resistance. Those ratings apply to the camera housing, while the overall installation also depends on correct mounting, protected connectors, sealed cable entries and suitable junction hardware. Outdoor sites should additionally consider direct sun, heat, dust, moisture and maintenance access.

8. What power does the HCO-6080 require?

The camera supports 12 VDC or 24 VAC. It is not a PoE camera, so video and power are planned separately. For longer power runs, calculate voltage drop and use an appropriate power supply and cable size. Existing power wiring should be checked before reusing it, especially where multiple cameras share a central supply.

9. What does 120 dB WDR help with?

Wide Dynamic Range helps a camera handle bright and dark areas in the same view. On HCO-6080, 120 dB WDR can improve difficult scenes such as a shaded loading bay facing a bright yard or an entrance with sunlight behind a person. It does not eliminate every lighting problem, so mounting direction and scene design still matter.

10. What should I send FourTeck for a quotation?

Send the exact model HCO-6080, required quantity, destination, DVR make and model, approximate longest coax run, preferred power arrangement and a short description of the camera scenes. If night coverage is important, mention whether the area is fully dark. FourTeck can then help confirm whether HCO-6080, HCO-6080R or another current Hanwha model is the better fit.
